Why we don't need more environmental organizations.
Some of you may remember when our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion eePro guest discussion host was Charles Orgbon III, CEO of Greening Forward, this past March. He offered some great advice for young and verteran environmental leaders of all ages. In this recent Huffington Post blog post (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/charles-orgbon-iii/why-we-dont-need-more-e...), Charles continues with some reflections he has had about the environmental movement. The article is titled, "Why we don't need more environmental organizations," and my favorite quote from it is, "We do not need any more environmental organizations as much as we need existing organizations that can (1) understand the difference between collaboration and cooperation, and are ready to do both, (2) be responsive to new people and new ideas, as well as (3) keep data on what works and what doesn’t work." Take a look, as I believe this post could create some healthy conversation that reflects on our movement!
