I am an art teacher in Cincinnati OH, at a school for gifted kids grades 3-12. I am currently working on my Masters' Degree through Slippery Rock University's Masters of Environmental Education. For the past 20 years, I have worked with kids in an urban gardening site with a charitable nonprofit I co-founded, called Permaganic (permaganic.org).

I hold a BFA in Fine Arts from DAAP, (Department of Architecture, Art, and Planning) at the University of Cincinnati). A mother of three, I am also a full-time teacher of Visual Arts at a school for gifted kids in Cincinnati Public Schools. I co-founded the nonprofit Permaganic (permaganic.org) in 2009, and served as E.D. for three years before returning to work in a formal education setting--I spent two years working at Cincinnati Waldorf School, before starting at CPS in 2015. I recently began a Masters' in Environmental Education program through Slippery Rock University, and plan to complete the program in August 2025. I have a driving impulse to make strides in restoration and conservation not only at the urban garden site of the nonprofit Permaganic; but also onsite at my CPS school, where currently I am working with the school's environmental science teacher to steward and maximize a student prairie restoration project; the emphasis at both sites is on youth stewardship and environmental literacy broadly. I hope to create systems for positive change to link our culture into opportunities for stewardship on all levels, and help boost this as every citizen's priority.
