Camila Guzmán is a passionate, multicultural, environmental educator, skilled in objective-based organizational planning with more than 7 years of experience in community mobilization and advocacy. Camila holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science/Studies with a focus on Global Engagement and International Studies from Nova Southeastern University.

Camila's transnational background shapes her global approach to environmental education. Dedicated to the intersection of environmental and social justice, Camila centers community organizing and youth-led advocacy in her work. Currently residing in NYC, in her most recent role as an Education & Engagement Manager for Zero Waste Schools at GrowNYC, she worked with K-12 public schools across all five boroughs to implement successful waste diversion systems (composting and recycling). She has also worked in other nonformal education settings namely with Rohingya refugee schools in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and student mentoring with Village Book Builders.
