I graduated with my Masters degree from UNC-Greensboro in May of 2023. While at UNCG, I was a teaching assistant for multiple courses on GIS and Weather & Climate. While completing my masters degree, I studied dendrochronology and compared the radial growth rates of two shortleaf pine populations growing on adjacent slopes in the Uwharries. I compared their growth rates to see how a changing climate may be affecting their growth differently despite their close proximity. Prior to that, I studied the health of coral reefs on Little Cayman island with the Central Caribbean Marine Institute under the guidance of Professor Ann Somers. My interests lie in ecosystem health and diversity and the role that climate has on these sensitive ecosystems. Besides my academic work, I am a painter and a gardener who enjoys spending their freetime outdoors.
