I have been involved in both formal and nonformal education for over five years and am now finding my niche as an environmental educator. As an AmeriCorps Environmental Educator at Bluff Lake Nature Center in Denver, Colorado, I share the wonder of nature with diverse audiences through a variety of programs in English and Spanish.

I grew up in Miami, Florida, where I became passionate about identifying species and enjoying the sunshine. I received a BA in Environmental Studies from Colorado College in 2021, then took a seasonal position as an interpretive naturalist with an environmental education nonprofit in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Now, I serve as an environmental educator in Denver and am pursuing an MA in Biology, focusing on ways to help people experience a sense of wonder about biodiversity so they will be inspired to protect it. In my spare time, I like to explore new places and take photos of wildlife.
