The Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Wyoming advances the understanding and resolution of complex environmental and natural resources challenges. We support students as well as citizens, stakeholders, and decision makers by giving them the skills and tools they need to build durable, inclusive solutions to our most pressing environment and natural resource challenges.
As Associate Lecturer in the Haub School, Maggie Bourque teaches courses, mentors students, designs curricula, supports course development (on campus, in the field, and online/via distance), and supports faculty in realizing impactful, innovative interdisciplinary teaching and learning.
Maggie's professional and academic work is grounded in interdisciplinary education and place studies, blending cultural geography, philosophy, place-based pedagogy, and environmental studies. Before joining the Academic Programs of the Haub School, she held positions with L.A. Theatre Works, Friends of Ballona Wetlands, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, and Teton Science Schools, among others. Maggie takes a creative, interdisciplinary, and collaborative approach to understanding complex relationships among people and place.
