I’m Maggy Benson (she/her), a dynamic learning designer who is passionate about creating inclusive audience-centered learning experiences. My specialties are digital strategy, science education, multimedia production, and on-camera interviews. 

I have a Master of Science in Learning Design & Technology (UMGC) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Northeastern University). My education and experience in these two fields give me a unique perspective to approach learning design in my position as the Distance Learning Manager and a museum educator at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History. In this role, I've created award-winning programs like Smithsonian Science How, managed the Office of Education's digital transition in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, and co-designed our current digital strategy for K-12 learners, which received the 2022 Smithsonian Institution Innovation & Access Achievement Award.
