I have a background in environmental and marine science and have spent most of my career in the nonprofit realm. I have recently shifted to working in state government, but still have a passion for communicating science. I have held administrative and directorial roles in nonprofits which focused on water quality and STEM education. In my current role, I am managing grants which the state provides to various partners to help protect marine resources in coastal North Carolina. The position includes public outreach to fisherman and program partners.
