This is Tanvi Hussain, Master of Science in Environmental Science from Guwahati, India. I'm pursuing PhD in Environmental Science and I've been working in the areas of climate change adaptation, mitigation and resilience activities, capacity building of communities, disaster management and preparedness, environment education, training and management, forest mapping and landuse/ landcover mapping, agroforestry, species distribution modelling, carbon stock estimation and field survey for the past 9 years. I'm also a visiting faculty in a college and I teach Environmental Science.

My name is Tanvi Hussain, I got a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from Gauhati University, India. I’m well versed in Remote Sensing and GIS applications, I've worked for the Government of Assam, India for climate change - mitigation and adaptation strategies, policy intervention, resilience and capacity building. I have worked on a USAID-funded project on Trees Outside Forests India (TOFI) program. Currently, I'm working in the capacity of Assistant Manager of the Environment Education and Capacity Building Division in Aarranyak, India (a scientific research organization) wherein we cater to environment education and environment protection and conservation Throughout my academic journey, I have gained a solid foundation in environmental science, conservation principles, and research methodologies. I have also actively participated in various fieldwork projects, where I’ve developed practical skills in data collection, analysis and reporting. I've named Power of Wetlands Ambassador by Wetland International in 2021.
I have been working in the areas of climate change adaptation, mitigation and resilience activities, capacity building of communities, disaster management and preparedness, environment education, training and management, forest mapping and landuse/ landcover mapping, agroforestry, species distribution modelling, carbon stock estimation and field survey for the past 9 years. I've honed my communication and interpersonal skills through my involvement in volunteer initiatives and leadership roles. I've collaborated with diverse teams, engaged with stakeholders, and effectively communicate scientific findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
