Join The Outdoor Learning Store for a new 4-part course each season to dive into a topic or resource with a skilled group of facilitators.
For 2024, we are pleased to offer these Seasonal Courses:
Winter: Nature Activities for Educators Recordings (Course has ended, but recordings are available.)
Spring: Wild Learning, March 27–April 17, 2024
This course will include guided conversations, activities and discussion with the author, practical activities for you to try and get feedback on, and community building with other educators while discovering how to deliver your own ‘Wild Learning’.
Summer: Connecting to the Land, the Métis Way, July 8–July 29, 2024
This course introduces educators, parents and adult learners to children’s resources on Métis knowledge, culture and history connected to the land. Join Leah Marie Dorian in discovering resources that include translations into Michif and offer incredibly vibrant illustrations giving insight into Métis life.
Fall: Naturally Inclusive – Engaging Children of All Abilities Outdoors, October 21–November 18, 2024
Drawing on her knowledge of research and her decades of work with children in nature, join Dr. Ruth Wilson as she weaves together advice, real-life examples, and testimonies from educators and families on the healing, nurturing power of nature in the lives of young children with diverse abilities. Joining us too is Karen Lai, Accessibility and Inclusion Specialist who will share expertise and her lived experience perspective on what it means to truly offer inclusive programming.
