Decolonization + Higher Education + Environmental Education

We are challenged every day to learn and grow—to be our best selves and to lift up others. Through this webinar/meet-up, we’ll have a chance to consider how we might cross cultural bridges through understanding and empathy. We’ll also work to figure out our “why” to understand implicit bias. Our guests will also discuss Indigenous Frameworks around environment and land, as well as Native American pedagogical practices rooted in community and agency.

RunningHorse Livingston is the founder and CEO of Mathematize Inc., whose mission is to transform schools into 21st century learning spaces focused on the 4C's including collaboration, critical thinking, communication, and creativity. RunningHorse is a nationally recognized educator and consultant who provides professional learning to educators in urban and rural communities across the United States. He is a proud member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.

Christopher Kilgour is the Program Manager for Information Technology Academy (ITA) Tribal Technology Institute with the University of Wisconsin. Co-Founder of the programs he now manages, Christopher is responsible for curriculum design, Tribal partnerships, student recruitment, event planning, and staff training. He comes to ITA-TTI with over 23 years of experience working with multicultural youth, and has served on the boards of the East Madison Community Center, Madison Inner City Council of Substance Abuse, and the Dane County Minority Affairs Commission.
