Environmental Education for Early Childhood Professional Development

As children make friends with all life on Earth, their choices will lead to the changes we wish to see.

We Are Earth Friends is a first-of-its-kind integrated framework for teaching environmental education to children ages 3–8.

Earth Friends offers virtual professional development for teachers and educators in conjunction with the We Are Earth Friends program. Whether you are looking to bring more nature into your classroom, engage young children in developmentally appropriate environmental education materials, or make more efforts toward sustainability practices and modeling behaviors, becoming an Earth Friends Educator is sure to enrich your early childhood learning community.

The program materials are designed for early childhood education, establishing a foundation of environmental education that prepares children to learn about, love, and respect our natural and built environments, other people, and their own health and well-being. The five-hour virtual and asynchronous professional development training (videos + exercises) address to developmentally appropriate practices, teaching approach, and further support.
