Mindfulness Practices for Science Observation Skills
Mindfulness Practices for Science Observation Skills
Online Feb-May 2022. Focused on Designing, Planting, and Caring for a Perennial Herb Garden in Schools & daily mindfulness skills. NGSS & SEL Standards aligned. The Tea Project is a standards-based initiative in which elementary school children experience the plant cycle, weather, and seasons, and develop self-care, empathy, body awareness, mindfulness, and science observation skills through the lens of growing and preparing perennial healing herbs.
In this course, we build and design a perennial herb garden for the school. This garden will grow to supply your classroom with a monthly supply of herbal teas throughout the school year so you can have a locally harvested tea corner to supply your daily cup of tea and mindfulness practices.
