Reproductive Health Preparedness During Climate Emergencies Webinar

Headshots of webinar speakers

Climate emergencies like hurricanes can disrupt access to abortions and contraception, increase sexual risk-taking behaviors, and limit healthcare services, resulting in higher rates of sexually transmitted infections and unintended pregnancies.

To address these challenges, the Center Biological Diversity developed Sexual Health Emergency Preparedness (SHEP) Kits, which bridge reproductive access, equity, and climate resilience to help communities prepare before disaster strikes. This webinar will highlight the SHEP mutual aid campaign as a model for how to meet reproductive health needs while empowering communities to integrate sexual health into their emergency preparedness plans.

Participants:

  • Kelley Dennings, Senior Campaigner, Center for Biological Diversity (moderator)
