Virtual Gear Down Workshop for Marine Naturalists
Come join The Whale Museum’s Gear Down Workshop for Marine Naturalists on Friday, October 20, 2023 virtually through Zoom sessions.
The workshop is an all day workshop going from 10:00 AM–5:00 PM PST. This workshop’s theme is Unusual & Changing Sightings Of Species In The Salish Sea!
Invited presenters include:
- Erin Falcone, North Coast Cetacean Society, on fin, Bryde’s, & sei whales
- Candice Emmons, NOAA, on SRKW and NRKW current distribution patterns and overlap
- David Anderson & Laurie Shuster, Cascadia Research Collective, on dolphins in the Salish Sea
- Kristin Wilkinson, NOAA, on beluga whales & rare pinnipeds & stranding network response
- Dr. Adam Summers, University of Washington, on blue fin tuna
- Dr. Marianne Nyegaard, Auckland Museum, on mola (sunfish)
The registration fee is $35 for non-members; $25 for TWM or SSAMN members.
