2020 Ocean Awareness Contest
Theme | Climate Hope: Transforming Crisis
Students are invited to create visual art (any medium), poetry, prose, music, film, or interactive and multimedia that explores the climate crisis, its impact on oceans, and the role of hope in creating transformation at local, national, or global scales.
Details:
- Open to middle and high school students ages 11-18 worldwide
- Students can submit as individuals or as a class, group, or club
- Hundreds of cash awards available, ranging from $50 to $1,500, as well as special opportunities for exhibiting, publishing, and participation in international environmental campaigns
- Free to enter

About Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs
Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs is a Boston-based nonprofit that activates the next wave of ocean leaders through the arts, science, and advocacy, and provides a space for students to connect, create, and communicate for our blue planet. Since 2012, Bow Seat has encouraged youth to learn about and engage with environmental issues through art-making. More than 12,000 teenagers representing 106 countries and all 50 U.S. states have participated in Bow Seat's programs.
