What would I be expected to do?
As eePRO group moderators, strive to dedicate 30 minutes to 1 hour per week towards supporting your eePRO Group. The following is a list of ways you can accomplish this:
- Adding related content to your group. Content includes resources, professional development activities, other events, and jobs
- Publishing periodic blog posts
- Moderating, answering, and starting discussions with group members
- Hosting virtual meetings, webinars, or other events for group members to discuss a topic of interest
- Emailing group members with information or content
Moderators are further expected to:
- Participate in bimonthly moderator calls (every two months on the third Thursday), where we connect, share what's working, ask questions, and support one another.
- Engage in a private moderator space for ongoing communication, resource sharing, and collaboration between calls.
- Show up for fellow moderators by offering encouragement, responding to questions, and helping amplify one another's contributions across groups.
This role works best for people who value connection, collaboration, and mutual support. We're looking for moderators who are excited to learn alongside others while supporting the broader eePRO network.
What kind of applicants are you looking for?
NAAEE welcomes long-standing and early-career environmental education professionals. We are seeking passionate and proactive individuals who are excited to share their experiences and perspectives with eePRO and the EE community. Ideal applicants are those who not only care deeply about environmental education but also see themselves actively contributing to the community by sharing resources, sparking thoughtful discussions, and writing insightful blog posts. If you have a genuine desire to contribute, love sharing knowledge, and are eager to help others grow, we'd love to hear from you!
