We have three ways people can take part:
1) On Social media with #backyardbio on twitter and instagram

2) On the INaturalist platform, by registering for this project so all their observations get pooled together - https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/backyardbio - Younger kids can also use the Seek App https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/seek_app

3) Through direct classroom connections worldwide so that teachers and kids can share their finds with others very far away. You can register for this on the backyardbio.net site

We also have a sub-campaign built around the International Day for Biodiversity - May 22nd. The goal being to get the public working to create a comprehensive portrait of life on earth as they see it. This will happen on social media with #snapshotoflife and on INaturalist here: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/snapshot-of-life
