Earthwatch at School: Climate Change Virtual Course for Boston-Based High School (fully funded!)
Earthwatch at School (Spring 2023):
Thanks to the generous support of Sanofi and the Eastern Bank, Earthwatch Institute is excited to be offering one Boston high school a fully-funded opportunity to participate in a virtual climate change educational program in Spring 2023.
Earthwatch at School is a 4-part virtual program designed to supplement a high school STEM curriculum – offering students direct interactions with an expert Environmental Educator, as well as leading research scientists from around the world. This experience includes presentations and Q&A sessions with climate scientists, in-depth classes covering a range of climate change-related topics, resources on how students can take action, and an opportunity to engage in a citizen science project – enabling students to contribute directly to scientific research.
Program will run in February and/or March.
Eligible applicants:
- Teach at a public or charter high school in Boston.
- Teach at a school with an economically disadvantaged student population (as defined by the Massachusetts Department of Education).
- Teach at a school with a diverse student body.
