Mid-Atlantic Climate Change Education Conference
A host of partners, including the NOAA Chesapeake Bay Office, Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve of Maryland, Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve, and Delaware Sea Grant are hosting the inaugural Mid-Atlantic Climate Change Education Conference on June 28-30, 2020, on the campus of Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland. This conference grew out of the successes of the K-12 Climate Change Academies hosted by the NSF-funded MADE CLEAR Project (www.madeclear.org) from 2013-2019.
The call for presentations and mobile workshops is currently open, with a deadline of March 20. Don’t be shy, propose a session or mobile workshop, and share your great climate change education research, lesson plans, field programs, etc. Your colleagues are eager to learn from you!
Thanks to various sponsors, the registration fee will be less than $175 and will include lodging at Goucher College and meals. While the registration form is not yet available, you can RSVP for more information on the website, and we’ll let you know when registration is available. In the meantime, pencil in the dates (June 28-30)!
In order to cultivate a community feel, participation will be limited to the first 150 registrants, so when registration opens, be sure to register as soon as possible! Did I mention that accepted presenters get the first chance at early bird registration because they do!
