Calling all naturalists, nature artists, botanists, wildlife trackers, foragers, nature educators, soil scientists, outdoor accessibility advocates, +++! Are you an educator or expert in a field related to nature and nature connection? North Branch Nature Center is excited to welcome you and your work into our programs and community for a week of shared learning through our new Visiting Teacher-Naturalist Program.

This program is specifically designed to spotlight the expertise, knowledge, and skills of Black, Indigenous, POC, rural, immigrant, disabled, LGBTQIA+ individuals. NBNC encourages applications from folks who identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color.

The Visiting Teacher-Naturalist will deliver programming across several of our programs such as our onsite Forest Preschool, our “Educating Children Outdoors” programs with local schools, and adult public programs, family/community programs, and others. Strong candidates will have interest and experience sharing their area of work with others—we can’t wait to learn from each other!

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, with 2 cycles each year - one occurring in early/mid May and another in early November.

Application deadline for the Spring 2024 cycle is March 24. Apply before then to be considered for this spring, or indicate interest in a later cycle.
