Students may be admitted to the Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) program for the Fall, Spring, or Summer terms. To be eligible for the M.A.T. in Secondary Education program, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum undergraduate cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher. The Secondary Education M.A.T. program requires an undergraduate major in the appropriate content area or in a closely related field. Appropriate content areas include: Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, English, Geography, History, Mathematics, Physics, or Political Science. Minimum graduate semester hours required for certification and degree: 31- 36.
