The JEE Special Issue breaks new ground in assembling research (approximately 30 studies) that will assist (eco)pedagogical development in various educational settings and cultural contexts. Each of the 9 articles can be read individually. However, the contents should be read as an 'ecological whole' where the credibility, integrity, and legitimacy of the 'practice theory' of ecopedagogy as/in scapes rests on the unusual use of a combination of 'assemblage theory' and 'metamethodology' (in the social sciences). The SI enhances and advances the evidence-based insights and knowledge/literature of the (socio-cultural) ecological relationships of pedagogy and scapes/environments.
