Professor Emeritus, State University of New York College at Cortland, Dr. Charles Yaple retired after 46 years teaching environmental history, philosophy and outdoor education courses. Dr. Yaple was also Director of the Coalition for Education in the Outdoors and editor of Taproot, the organization’s journal of outdoor education. Co-founder, first Board president and long-time director of the Lime Hollow Nature Center in Cortland, New York
