The #HomeFloodProtector Scavenger Hunt is perfect for students from grades 3 to 11 and includes a worksheet for younger kids. The activity is designed to lead youth and their families on a journey that helps them understand what they can do in and around their own home to protect from flooding.

• Encourages families to take action on flooding and share what they learned to challenge families across Canada to also protect their homes.
• Guides youth and their families to find a variety of items inside and outside their homes that can either put them at greater risk of flooding or protect them.
• Items that families will hunt for include storm drains, window wells, downspouts, trees, gardens, sump pumps, floor drains and valuables stored in the basement.
