I am a former naturalist and environmental studies teacher. I've been through the challenging process of working with students to plan, plant and utilize a pollinator habitat/outdoor lab. In the past year I have worked with a native plant nursery to create a simple kit that is ideal for busy educators. I wish I would have had this when my students and I created our prairie. It includes 100 plants native to the Midwest, hand trowels for digging, laminated signs, and a guide that walks you through each step in the process, from planning with school administrators and maintenance staff, to planting and utilizing the prairie with students.
