The Pacific Education Institute (PEI) is a nonprofit organization that provides professional learning opportunities to educators, giving them the tools, resources, and ongoing mentorship they need to teach standards-aligned, real-world science outdoors. Using their award-winning FieldSTEM® Model, they have been delivering integrated science education in Washington State for the past 15 years. FieldSTEM is career connected, locally relevant, field-based learning designed to inspire balanced decision making for sustainable communities by taking all students outdoors to integrate language and math skills with an understanding of complex social and natural systems.
