In this fun, engaging science program students have the opportunity to build a wind turbine, solar oven, hydroelectric generator, ­­biogas generator, electric vehicle or energy storage—so they can see firsthand how applied science is helping create a more sustainable future. This challenge will encourage students to:

• Design, build and test a working model of any renewable energy technology.
• Understand firsthand how applied science is helping create a more sustainable future.
• Develop an understanding of the climate change issue and the need for sustainable energy development.
• Improve math skills by diving into designing their own renewable energy model.
