A Midwestern transplant to the California coast with a penchant for plants, tide pools, exploring new places and finding joy in everything. Working in environmental education since her first volunteer job at a local nature center, she is now a naturalist at East Bay Regional Park District.
My 3rd career as a Watershed Coordinator for the Potomac River Basin has enabled me to integrate stream and watershed restoration through environmental education. My focus has been on my passions: involving students in investigations and projects that promote the improvement of their local waters.
I am an EE student at Florida Atlantic University. I hope to employ my experience & training as a social worker to create a new platform for environmental education. This includes the integration of ecological and sustainability principles into social work education, as well as community engagement.
My degree is in Philosophy and I love ethics both in society and in our relationship to nature. I enjoy finding opportunities to do something for ethics and the environment every day.
