Mark owns Medicine Bow Wilderness School in the Southern Appalachians, he teaches nature classes and survival skills of the Cherokees. Mark has been teaching environmental education for almost 50 years. In 1980 the National Wildlife Federation named him Georgia’s Conservation Educator of the Year.

I'm a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Saskatchewan, exploring physical literacy as taken up through Indigenous games. In 2019, I obtained a Ph.D. through Deakin University, Australia, which took up posthumanism to (re)story human/Earth relationships for/in these Anthropocene times.
