The Houston Arboretum & Nature Center is a 155-acre non-profit urban nature sanctuary whose mission is to provide education about the natural environment to people of all ages and to protect and enhance the Arboretum as a haven and as a sanctuary for native plants and animals.

Kylie is an educator with over a decade of teaching experience in informal science learning centers. She earned her Master's in Teaching Biology in 2022 and currently teaches at the American Museum of Natural History. Kylie is also a freelance curriculum writer specializing in inquiry-based environmental education and a producer for Biology on Tap — a free monthly science communication series for adults.
