As a geologist from the University of Caldas in the city of Manizales, Colombia. I was trained as a paleontologist and micropaleontologist in a research institute in earth sciences, in this place I embarked on the history of the deep past and the evolution of life on planet Earth.

Dr. Laird has over 15 years of experience in environmental education at various levels. Her current work focuses on connections to nature and community engagement, among other interests.

Shriya, the founder of Sashakt Bharat and a National Geographic Young Explorer creates inclusive EE interventions specific to the cultural, vernacular, and regional needs in India to facilitate the know-how for young people to create local solutions and collaborate for climate action.
