I investigate how we can design instruction to help students successfully overcome science denial as it relates to controversial topics, such as climate change. In doing so, I apply the theories of motivation (i.e., motivated reasoning, self-determination theory) and research on conceptual change.
I am currently an environmental educator with a background in fisheries research looking for full time employment. In my next career, I am looking for a position which will allow me to work in a collaborative environment and create lasting change for a more sustainable tomorrow.
