I work at the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control in the Bureau of Water. I'm the Watershed Manager for the Broad and Edisto Watersheds and Coordinator of the Champions of the Environment Grant Program. I'm an avid naturalist and especially enjoy identifying birds and plants.
Arturo Herrera started as a Software Developer in Nashville, Tennessee. After a few years, Arturo decided to pursue his dream and work with endangered sea turtles as a Program Manager in Latin America and the Caribbean for the next seven years. He worked as a Marine Park & Turtle Program Coordinator
Currently, I am the Events and Permitting Coordinator and Visitor Services Supervisor at Memorial Park Conservancy. I hold a degree in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology from Colorado State. Sharing my enthusiasm for nature and ecology with others has always been a passion of mine.
I am currently a graduate student at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg pursuing my M.L.A in Florida Studies with a specialization in geography and the environment and a Graduate Certificate in Geospatial Information Systems.
