I have the best job in the world. I design and teach nature studies to young people as in-school nature studies. I also write a blog called "The Borrowed Classroom" that instructs regular ed. classroom teachers how and why to incorporate nature into every classroom for all ages and subject areas.
I am a designer, builder, manager, and educator of organic and sustainable landscapes. With 30 years of horticultural experience, I look beyond current thought to find better ways for people and Nature to live together. I am on the Steering Committee for the EECOI in the Puyallup Watershed (pwi.org)
I'm a conservation psychologist by training interested in how people are motivated to act to protect the nature on which we all depend. I care about how health and the biosphere are integrally linked to the prospects for a thriving culture.
