I am the Director of America Adapts Media and host of America Adapts – The Climate Change Podcast. I previously worked on climate adaptation issues with the National Park Service, FL Fish and Wildlife Commission and in Queensland Australia. I'm dedicated to highlighting the issue of adaptation.

I am a married mom with three children and a grandson on the way. I run a licensed childcare at my home. When I am not working or doing school work, I am an Uber driver for my 12 year old son! I am a lover of all things Disney and enjoy putting together large Lego kits.

Stacie Pierpoint she/her

Stacie joined the NAAEE team in April 2020. She has worked in or alongside the education field for over two decades and in communications for more than 15 years. She started her career teaching at a public charter high school in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining NAAEE, she managed communications for Annenberg Learner, a leading national nonprofit that connects K–12 and college educators with classroom content and professional development to support and strengthen their practice. She holds an M.A. in Spanish and Latin American Studies from American University, and a B.A. in Modern Languages and Linguistics and Certificate in Secondary Education from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She also completed a Certificate in Social Impact Storytelling at Georgetown University. Throughout her career, she has been committed to bringing exceptional educational opportunities to underserved areas and educating to promote civic engagement.

Megan Fink She/Her

Megan Fink serves as the Partnerships & Policy Manager for the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE). Working in the field of Environmental Education for over a decade, Megan brings a robust, place-based, outdoor education background to the NAAEE team. She has built enduring working relationships across the Chesapeake Bay watershed and the Mid-Atlantic region. As a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Science and Biology, Megan began her career as an Environmental Educator at the North Carolina Aquariums before joining the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) in 2011. Through several program management positions with CBF she led students, teachers, school administrators, and environmental professionals on ecological, cultural, and historical investigations of the Bay. She also managed a statewide leadership program for high school students, teaching them how to become environmental advocates at the local, regional, and national levels.

Megan earned an Executive Master of Natural Resources from Virginia Tech’s Center for Leadership in Global Sustainability in 2020. In 2022-23, she served as Education Director for the Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park, supervising 15 Environmental Education Programs and expanding their reach to 14,000 participants annually. She also initiated and managed a project to launch a brand-new, nature-based preschool and served on the Maryland State Department of Education’s Workgroup to develop statewide Outdoor Preschool licensing standards. 

Throughout her career, Megan has designed programs that inspire participants to act on behalf of their local natural resources and enhance people’s understanding of and connection to the natural world through compelling environmental education experiences. In her spare time, she can often be found hiking, gardening, paddling, and spending time with her loved ones, including her dog, Ruby, splashing around the Bay watershed!

I currently work to support leadership and best practices at nature centers throughout North America. In my role with the Association of Nature Center Administrators, I create and share content about the issues that nature centers face, and how they can overcome their challenges.

I'm a youth services librarian in North Carolina, and am pursuing Environmental Education certification to learn more about how I can incorporate outdoor learning experiences into teaching at the high school where I work. In my free time, I get outside as much as possible, and especially enjoy trail running, hiking, paddling, and outdoor yoga.

I have moved around a bit but have been living in North Carolina for the past few years. I love animals and hiking and being outside. Marine ecosystems are my favourite to learn about. I am dive certified and love being in the water.

Bug Hartsock

Bug Hartsock is a graduating Master's student in an Entomology lab. When he's not staring at small critters, he spends his time reading, making art, and going on hikes (as well as playing plenty of Dungeons & Dragons). Bug is passionate about scientific outreach and communication, creating zines and comics designed to make science accessible to everyone. He's also spoken at conferences, on public radio, and at a variety of school outreach events. It's his hope to encourage the rest of the world to fall a little bit more in love with its tiny, many-legged residents.

Aneesa Jamal

Aneesa Jamal is a CEE-Change Fellow with the NAAEE. She has been involved with innovative work in school education for the past 14 years. She currently heads Cogitation Club, an after school program for middle & high school students. Aneesa was the Head of Al Qamar Academy, a progressive micro-school in Chennai, India for over 10 years.  Aneesa holds micro-credentials from Cornell University & National Geographic for teaching climate change, urban environmental education & geo-inquiry.  She has extensive experience in teaching creative writing and has co-mentored children in authoring storybooks on nature and environmental issues. . An alumna of Smith College, USA & an MBA from the University of Washington, she is currently pursuing her PhD in Education in Malaysia.
