I am an professional engineer in environmental engineering who decided to start an organization to help students pursue their education. Finishing my doctorate in higher education leadership, I spend my "free" time playing with my brilliant kids or training to be as strong as my espresso.
I am Temitope Olorunfemi, a marine biologist. I love nature and going outdoor, i like to do whatever i possible can to reduce my carbon footprint. The earth is our home, lets maintain it and make sure it's sustainable.
I originally cut my teeth in the outdoor world by doing trail work and outdoor education. Now I help run programs that get Alaska youth out on backpacking and sea kayaking expeditions. These programs are at no cost to the student, and any technical gear they need is provided by our organization, Alaska Geographic.
I am an Interpretation Park Ranger with the US Army Corps of Engineers. I facilitate all the water safety and environmental education programs at our lake as well as coordinate the usage of the Envrionmental Education Center.
I am a Master`s student of Teaching in Biology and General Science, with a passion for camping and outdoor education.
Green Living Science (GLS) is an outgrowth of Recycle Here!, Detroit’s drop-off recycling center and the city’s neighborhood recycling program. GLS was founded in 2007 in response to the Detroit Public Schools Community District's request to bring education about recycling and natural resource conservation to its students. Early programming consisted of assemblies and in-class lessons to teach children about reusing and repurposing materials as well as natural resource conservation.
Over the years, we’ve expanded our programming to not only serve schools, but also businesses, and community members. GLS is dedicated to educating Detroiters about the impact waste has on our planet. GLS was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2011.
