Hi! My name is Beth Lewis (she/her). Here's a little bit about me.
I am a lover of the outdoors, astrology, rock climbing, and the culture of Appalachia. A transplant to Pittsburgh, I grew up in a small town in western North Carolina. You will find me hiking, practicing yoga, or climbing with my girlfriend, annoying our cats, listening to Brandi Carlisle, or searching the city for southern home cooking cuisine.
By working as an environmental professional and having the opportunity to teach people of all ages involving programs in natural and cultural history, inquiry-based science, and resource stewardship, I have found my purpose. I want to continue my passion for creating environmental educational programming and helping to make it accessible for everyone!
I am a long-time professor of biology and ES in 4-year and 2-year institutions. In addition, I have experience as an industrial chemical production scientist and as a professional environmental scientist. I volunteer as an environmental scientist as science educator for various NGOs.
